We made it. Safe and sound. It's beautiful here. It's hot here. We love it here.
Right now we are in Lyndberg, South Africa waiting for our ride out to Enkosini. We've had pretty decent luck so far with regards to travel, food and people.
Our taxi to the airport in Glasgow broke down, so we had to wait for a new one to come and by the time we got to the airport, we were faced with a very, very long line. But, we managed to get through it and onto the flight.
Our connection in Amsterdam was seamless and the 11.5 hour flight to South Africa was a breeze. You have NOT seen desert until you've flown over Africa. It was INCREDIBLE!
Our hotels have been great, the food has been good and the people are very, very nice so far. The accent is taking a bit of getting used to, but we seem to have picked up a few words along the way.
I'm suffering through a major cold right now...which made flying a bit painful, but i've picked up some amazing cough syrup and hopefully i'll only be coughing for a few more days and then i'll be back to normal.
New years was great. We stayed up until 7am and had a great time partying with the cousins. We miss them already.
We'll post some picture when we can - although i'm not sure when that will be. It looks like we might be doing Kruger park this week, but again, who knows!?!

Miss you so much. Block week isn't that much of a drag, just the long days suck the most. AND having to eat on campus every day, blah. I know what you'll say - make your own then - but there is tons of reading every night and i already have 3 assignments assigned, one of them is due next week. What part of Block 'week' do they not understand???
Still detoxing. New years did a number on this bod. We'd have quite the conversations abotu poo if you were here. haha I hope other people can read my comments!!! haha

Hi Dan and Aileen! Trip sounds awesome so far...loved the "Dave" pic! I am squiggly right now and gutted your not here. Wearing my joggy bottoms but they are cramping my baw bag but as they say you canny whack it. Its baltic at home, -23..anyway, I am shattered. Take care!
